"You are the best group of leaders I have ever had at a training. I have the excited, bubbly, inspired feeling that I haven't truly felt since college again. I think you could have had this for 5 days and I wouldn't have gotten bored!"

"Hands on learning with like minded individuals made mine and my TA's experience engaging and fulfilling. I have never laughed so hard and had so much fun learning new strategies with people who understand that best practices means learning through play. Taking home these new strategies and incorporating them into daily activities led our students to be more enthusiastic about learning. If you ever get the opportunity to attend GTFYC, I highly recommend it."

Laura's testimonial

"By far, the best workshop I have been to. Coming from 3rd grade, I needed to have this understanding of the importance of play. This should be mandatory training, in some form, to all new Kindergarten teachers. They need to know this stuff!!"

"I feel rejuvenated about my calling as a kindergarten teacher, and cannot wait to take these wonderful new ideas into my classroom!"

"I truly enjoyed learning from Lee, Eva, Amy and Marylee! The institute helped me think through what is best for young children, provided great "ah-has" and "oohs!" to use with my students while also confidently advocating for them. I personally loved the session on how to make the most out of a read aloud and find it to be my class' favorite time of day. Their dedication to even keep in touch with teachers afterwards, has been beneficial starting off as a first year Kindergarten teacher."

"I attended the Summer Institute of 2019 of Good Things for Young Children and it was HANDS DOWN the BEST professional development for teachers of young children that I have ever attended! Amy, Eva, Lee, and Marylee are master teachers with years of experience in early education classrooms and settings and the work they've done to deliver this level of professional development is top-notch. Their message is clear: young children learn best through PLAY and I left their 2-day institute full of ideas of how to integrate play into all areas of my kindergarten schedule and curriculum. I cannot emphasize how valuable this experience was for me as a K teacher! GTFYC is not your typical professional development. Get ready for high levels of engagement, FUN, great examples and learning opportunities at every session. It's not often that pre-school and kindergarten teachers are offered the chance to experience PD that is tailored to their area of expertise and these ladies have made it happen!
